Company:

Thermo Fisher Scientific

Product Name:

ArC™ Amine Reactive Compensation Bead Kit

Catalog Number:

A10346

Info: Supplier Page

My research area includes immune phenotyping of primary or metastatic tumors. I often do a complex flow cytometry panel for my analysis. The ArC™ Amine Reactive Compensation Bead is very helpful in doing compensation or unmixing.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Compensation Control for Flow Cytometry.

Starting Material

Fixable viability dye.

Tips

After staining the beads with the viability dye, subsequent wash with 1x PBS will significantly improve the staining index.

Results Summary

The ArC Amine Reactive Beads are ready-to-use polystyrene-based beads. The results here are shown for a single color compensation control prepared for Zombie UV-fixable dye. The beads are a mixture of reactive and non-reactive beads and give a very good positive and negative signal required for compensation.1 drop of positive beads is first stained with Zombie UV dye (at 1:200 dilution) for 20 mins on the ice and then washed with 1x PBS. After washing negative beads are mixed with stained positive beads and run on BD Symphony A3 for single-color controls.

The Good

Very easy to prepare the single color control.

The Bad

Expensive.

The Bottom Line

I would definitely use it as it saves a lot of time.
