MedChemExpress

Product Name:

Verteporfin

Catalog Number:

HY-B0146

I used verteporfin to treat my colorectal cancer patient-derived organoids. Realtime PCR analyses for expression of its direct target YAP1 as well as YAP1 downstream targets were performed. The MedChemExpress Verteporfin provided a very good inhibition at 5uM in vitro.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

In vitro cell culture

Starting Material

Colorectal cancer organoids

Tips

Solubility >50mg/mL in 100% DMSO

Results Summary

I dissolved this inhibitor using 100% DMSO and then treated patients derived cancer organoids with either 0.1% DMSO or 5uM Verteporfin and confirmed its inhibitory effect by checking transcription of YAP1 and its targets. The product showed satisfactory inhibition of YAP1.
