RNA was isolated from kidney podocyte cell cultures grown on different substrates to compare the effect of culture condition on gene expression. The Good

Very well designed kit - intuitive, much simpler to use than other kits, very high recovery of RNA.

The Bad

Very expensive compared to other alternatives.

The Bottom Line

If you are preparing a limited number of RNA samples (40 max), if you have limited experience in RNA prep, and if you want a fast and easy solution that requires little optimization, then this is a great kit to buy. Especially useful for low cell numbers. It is quite expensive, however, and less suitable for high volume applications or if RNA/cell quantity is not an issue.
