My research involves studying compartmentalized dopaminergic signaling. We grow 3-dimensional polarized cell cultures on transwell membranes to observe apical and basolateral localization of proteins of interest.

Results Summary

Staining looks very clean; however ZO-1 is supposed to help verify polarized cultures as a tight junction protein and we saw this staining on cells that still looked quite flat, not polarized.
