The Serva BlueClear SB is a easy-to-handle mild stripping buffer which we regularly use in our lab to strip antibodies off Western Blot Nitrocellulose membranes. It can be re-used multiple times, stripping time might vary between antibodies.

Starting Material

Nitrocellulose membrane loaded with primary/secondary antibodies for Chemiluminescence detection (HRP-coupled).

Tips

Incubation 30 min at RT, can be extended for larger amounts of antibodies to be stripped off.

Results Summary

After stripping, membranes can be loaded with a new round of antibodies. Usually the "old" signal is completely gone after stripping - sometimes some weaker signal remains.
