BCA protein assay kit was used to determine protein concentration in lysates from primary brain endothelial cells before Western blot analysis for vesicle-associated proteins.

Standard curve from BSA standards was consistent and easy to read with standard plate reader. However, protein concentration in cell lysates was too low to be measured by BCA kit.
