Antibodies are produced by plasma cells (PC) that are terminally differentiated B cells and play crucial roles in host protection against infections but are considered to mediate autoimmunity in patients with rheumatic diseases, such as systemic lupus (SLE) or rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Our research aims at understanding the biology of B cells and antibody-secreting cells (ASC) in health and disease, in this experiment we are looking for a GL7 to stain germinal center B cells.

In the figure we can observe the gating strategy with lymphocytes, singlets, live cells and B cells. Within B cells we could sating around 2,5% of germinal center B cells (GL7+FAS+) that is in agreement with the literature.
