I use this buffer to extract DNA fragment from agarose gel. This buffer allows the dissolution of the agarose slice containing the DNA fragment, then I purify the DNA fragment with Monarch DNA Cleanup kit.

I usually have to purify DNA fragments twice to obtain a good A260/A230 ratio.
After enzyme digestion, I separate restriction fragments by gel electrophoresis. With Monarch gel dissolving buffer, I can extract the restriction fragment of interest.
