I have used this antibody to detect astrocyte proliferation induced by peripheral inflammation. It has worked very well in mouse sample without performing any special step for immunofluorescence.

Incubation was done with Ab diluted to 1:500 for 16h at 4ºC

In all cases reactivity is quite good at 1:500 dilution. This protein is detected only in new cells and thus can be used to monitor proliferation. I have captured this image in my confocal to show expression of this protein in the proliferating astrocytes (please see my paper for details).
