I have used this antibody to study microglia morphology within brain from an animal model of inflammatory pain. It has worked very well in mouse sample.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Applications

Immunofluorescence

Sample

Mouse spinal cord

Primary Incubation

Incubation was done with Ab diluted to 1:500 for 16h at 4ºC

Blocking Agent

BSA 4% in PBS

Secondary Incubation

Incubation was done with 2nd Ab diluted to 1:1,000 for 3h at room temperature

Tertiary Incubation

None

Detection

Fluorescence (AF 488)

Results Summary

In all cases reactivity is quite good at 1:500 dilution when neural inflammation is strong. This protein increases expression under these circumstance so the detection is facilitated in experimental models of inflammation. I have captured this image in my confocal to study morphology of microglia process (please see my paper for details).
