Pluronic F-127 is an interesting Poloxamer that I have been using for the fabrication of a thermo responsive hydrogel. The sol-gel transition temperature depends on the concentration of the product. A 16% w/v concentration allows the sol-gel transition to occur at room Temperature. This polymer is amenable for drug delivery applications and scaffolding materials.

Pluronic F127 is biocompatible and can be used in multiple applications.
With this system I was able to encapsulate chondrocytes and inject the cell laden hydrogel within a organ on a chip system representative of the joint structure.
Biocompatible and easy to handle.
I suggest the use of Pluronic in applications where sol-gel transition is required and in particular this could be used as scaffolding material or as a drug delivery system.
