My lab studies the pathobiology of Ehrlichia chaffeensis, an obligately intracellular bacterium. I used this kit to characterize the chemokines secreted during in vitro infection, which recapitulated results produced in my lab over a decade ago. I highly recommend this product for use with cell culture supernate as it is very easy to use and the data is reproducible.

I used this kit for cell lysates with the same experimental conditions and it did not work as well as just sepernate alone.
I harvested cell culture supernates of THP-1 cells infected with Ehrlichia chaffenesis. Compared to control, there was a significant upregulation of key chemokines consistent with data previously derived from my lab.
