The goal of our research is to check the drug effect on the MDA-MB-231 cell cycle. We used this PI staining buffer to stain fixed cell and analyzed by flow cytometry. The result is great. We can clearly tell cell cycle stages.

Use cold 70% ethanol drop by drop into the loosed cell pellet while vortex.
Using this buffer to analyze the cell cycle by flow cytometry, we find the MDA-MB-231 cell population was arrested in the G2 phase after drug treatment.
