I use alamarBlue as redox indicator to evaluate metabolic function and cellular health. Ready to use: just add the solution to the cells (in complete media without washing or cells lysis), incubate for at least 3 hours at 37°C and then read the absorbance to detect cytotoxicity. The results are always reliable as the reagent is very sensitive detecting few cells/ well.
