In our group, we are interested in using CD8+ T-cells for treatment purposes. In our evaluation pipeline, killing assays are used to characterize the potency of our T-cells. This kit is commonly used to non-specifically stain the target cells.

Contrary to the kit's protocol, we usually incubate cells for just 5min at RT, followed by 2 washing steps (1st step includes human serum).
CTV labels non-specifically our target cell lines, providing us with an easy way of separating the relevant populations using flow cytometry.
