HCT116 cells were stably transfected with pCAGGS–caveolin-1 to overexpress caveolin-1 (HCT116-Cav-1). HCT116 and HCT116-Cav-1 were treated with sublethal doses of hydrogen peroxide (150 μM) for 2 h. Untreated cells (–H2O2) were used as control. Cells were recovered in complete medium for 5 d. The expression level of caveolin-1 was determined by immunoblotting analysis using specific antibody probes.
