We regularly use Annexin-V-APC conjugate for our flow cytometry-based cell death assays and are very satisfied with the results. The staining is quick, not too complicated and if combined with the right flow cytometry setup, very easy to measure and evaluate.
Cell death detection (apoptosis)
Conventional human (cancer) cell lines - trypsinised and washed
We stain the cells 10 min on ice before measurement which is already enough time to get good results.
We are testing different apoptosis-inducing drugs and treatments, apoptosis induction after transient transfection etc. e.g. to elucidate the synergism of proteasome inhibition and BCL-2 inhibition via ABT-199 in sarcoma cells
