Clear Identification of Reference Bands

I used 1 kb DNA ladder (size 500 bp -10Kb) to run a DNA gel. My DNA template to check was 1.3kb.DNA samples were purified from bacterial colonies and amplified through a PCR. I did the DNA gel to check if the DNA had been correctly inserted in the plasmid.In details I used 1kb DNA ladder on an ethidium bromide staining on a 1.5% TAE agarose gel (recommended by the vendor gel % range 0.8-1.2%). I loaded 10uL of the 1 kb DNA ladder together with 12uL of each DNA samples (10uL were coming from the PCR, and 2uL was of loading buffer). Results obtained were very clear and it was pretty easy to identify the bans on the gel (picture has been taken under UV302, setting Automatic exposure time).
