Before downstream imaging, we use ProLong Gold antifade mountant on our murine brain tissue samples. The product allows for the visualization of clear, defined cellular nuclei, but after ~2 weeks, the signal is diffuse (no longer defined) throughout the sample/background.
Imaging
Tissue or cell sections/mounts.
Read tissue mounts immediately; Do not mount, store, and read at a later date.
When sections are read imaged soon after application of the reagent, the cellular nuclei staining appears clear/well-defined and easy to assess.

Not for long term imaging projects.
