Product Name:

5(6)-Carboxyfluorescein diacetate N-succinimidyl ester

I use this reagent for staining cells in a cytotoxicity assay. Cells are easily stained with this dye non-discriminately, and it gives a good signal even after fixation. This is a good dye for marking all cells.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Flow cytometry

Starting Material

Cancer cells

Tips

The dye may be toxic to some cells.

Results Summary

The dye stained the cells well and could be detected easily after fixation. Using higher concentrations of the dye will yield a brighter signal that can be used for proliferation assays.
