We purchased the Sigma Centrifuge 4-16S to perform high throughput sample processing for DNA and/or RNA extraction using QIAGEN's 96-well plate kits. The centrifuge can be used with both a 2x96 plate rotor as well as individual tube rotors making it amenable to other projects.

The Bottom Line

Though it is an investment, the centrifuge is easy to use and works very well. It has sped up our sample processing timelines immensely, so we highly recommend it for studies or groups processing a large number of samples day in and day out.
