PrestoBlue was used to measure cell viability of human endothelial cells upon exposure to a certain drug. Results (absorbance levels) were analyzed after 2h with PrestoBlue.

Results can be obtained by measuring absorbance or fluorescence. We used absorbance values to obtain cell viability of cells exposed to a drug. Results were in accordance with observations in the microscope. Fluorescence or absorbance values correlate with cell viability.
This assay can be done overtime without affecting cells.
The medium from the cells needs to be collected before adding PrestoBlue diluted in the cell media.
Good reproducibility.
