Brake settings are not maintained after hitting "start".

The Bottom Line

It is very important that the brake is off when we do our density centrifugation spins, and it is annoying that we have to set the brake to "0" again after hitting the "start" button because it auto resets back to "9." The centrifuge works well otherwise.
