Citrate-anticoagulated human whole blood was diluted 1:10 in HEPES-Tyrodes-BSA containing Alexa Fluor 647 anti-human CD42b. Lyse/fix buffer was added, and samples were acquired by flow cytometry. Alexa Fluor 647 anti-human CD42b provided bright staining and allowed the clear resolution of platelets from background.
