The product can be used to detect VIP in cell supernatants from cell lines as well as from serum. I have used it to detect VIP in both human and mouse cell lines. The assay is easy to follow.

I really like that the kit provides us with a positive control, which is super helpful to know if our assay worked and hence troubleshoot during the experimental procedures. The positive control provided is sufficient only for duplicates for the assay. The supernatant collected must be centrifuged to obtain cell-free product for the assay.
The assay is able to detect VIP in both human and mouse cell lines.
Positive control
Less intuitive compared to other immunoassays since it's a competitive assay.
Recommended for detection of VIP. Not yet validated in VIP-KO cells.
