I have used this antibody to detect neurons in the brain. It has worked very well in sample of rat and mouse.

In all cases reactivity is quite good at 1:1,000 dilution. This protein is detected only in neurons and thus can be used to differentiate from glia. I have captured this image in my confocal to show expression of this protein in the mouse hippocampus.
