For the mounting of the tissue samples on microscope slides stained with fluorophores, I have used this glycerol-based ProLong Diamond Antifade Mountant. Applied directly to the fluorescently labeled tissue samples, covered with the coverslip, and dried it. Mountant tissue sections were imaged with a confocal microscope after a month without any decrease in the intensity of the fluorophores.
