Company:

RayBiotech

Product Name:

COVID-19 N-Protein ELISA

Catalog Number:

ELV-COVID19N-1

Our lab used these kits on over 70 samples of SARS-CoV-2 convalescent plasma and they worked great. Little optimization was required outside of adjusting sera dilutions. Excess reagents are provided, which we found to be very helpful as many other companies include exact or nearly exact amounts. Our plate set up allowed us to save wells from each plate and the excess reagents allowed us to run additional samples by doing this. Very pleased with this kit.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Quantifying N-protein specific IgG antibodies

Tips

Keep reagent temperatures consistent when removing from storage

Results Summary

We used these kits to detect N-protein specific IgG antibodies in addition to measuring the avidity of them by using a denaturing wash buffer (with DEA) on half of the plate. Results were obtained by measuring the optical density of each well. It is important to note that we did not see any outliers, meaning the assay performed well throughout the duration of the study.

The Bottom Line

Consider RayBiotech as a primary provider for kits of this nature. High end packaging, organized reagents. Despite the price tag, they are worth the consistent results they provide and eliminate headaches in reporting data and optimizing the assay.
