I work with Treg cultures in the field of immune diseases and I needed a reliable isolation method. The protocol is pretty straigthfoward and in less than 2 gours you have your pure population ready to use. I personally check the purity by flow after use this kit, getting a relatively consistent Treg population of around 78-84% (depending of the tissue). I would highly recommend this kit if you need a source of natural Tregs.

Results Summary

With this kit we isolated Tregs to transduce them with an OVA specific receptor. These cells were injected a group of mice and after, they were sensitized with OVA protein. The group injected with OVA-Tregs was protected from severe allergic response, whereas the control group showed an allergic response during the challenge with the allergen.

The best thing is the easy protocol.

The Bad

If you need a 100% purity population, you need to do sorting. You also need a miltenyi colums and separation magnet, so if you don't do it very frequently you have to think if the initial investment will worth.

The Bottom Line

It is expensive but the results obtained are great. I would recommend it!
