Cell Strainer for Single Cell Suspension

A characteristic phenotype of normal or a cancer stem cell is their ability of divide or proliferate several times. To study this property of a stem cell in-vitro, we need to isolate the niche and plate them as single cells in the culture dish. Plated single cells divide several times to form a sphere in the culture. Measuring diameter of the sphere at the end of the assay reveals the proliferative efficiency of the stem cell. Hence, preparing single cell suspension is a very important initial step which can be achieved using the cell strainer. This Falcon cell strainer prevents clumped cells and permeabilize single cells only. This cell strainer is also useful in making suspension for flow cytometric assays.
