Results Summary

CUTL1/Cux1 antibody is used determine the layer II/III positive neurons by immunostaining in P12 postnatal brain neocortex. With this antibody , it was however unspecific all over the cortex. This antibody may not be recommended for long term storage. More standardisation and higher dilutions may be effective for obtaining specific signal in the layer II/III region of the neocortex.

Summary

The Good

Works if standardized properly

The Bad

Antigen retrieval may be necessary for better staining, concentrated antibody may give unspecific signals, higher dilution required, long term storage may hinder the application

The Bottom Line

There are not many good CUTL1 antibody available. The antibody needs to be standardised at various steps. If other options are available, this may not be highly recommended.
