Product Name:

Recombinant Mouse CXCL2/MIP-2 protein

Catalog Number:

452-M2-010

CXCL2 is an important chemokine that induces neutrophil migration. Recombinant CXCL2 is widely used for in vitro migration assays for neutrophils and also in vivo study by injection or infusion of it into mouse organ or tissue. R&D biosystems provides reliable CXCL2 chemokine.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

In vitro migration assay for mouse neutrophils

Starting Material

Neutrophils purified from mouse bone marrow

Tips

Upon receipt, reconstitute it, make aliquots of a small quantity (e.g. 50ng/ul, 5ul each tube), and store at -80 degree.

Results Summary

Attached migration assay was to compare mouse neutrophil migration on various chemokines. A migration chamber with glass bottom was coated with ICAM-1 ligand and various amounts of indicated chemokines and purified neutrophils were allowed to migrate in a medium at 37 degree. As expected, neutrophils show robust migration on CXCL2 in a dose dependent manner.

Summary

The Good

Reliable quality.

The Bad

A little expensive.

The Bottom Line

Recombinant mouse CXCL2 from R&D biosystems is so reliable that every assay has been accurate and consistent. This product works well for all the assays I have tried, random migration assays (attached), transwell experiments, and in vivo assays.
