This trypsin solution from Sigma is a 10 times concentrate. I use this trypsin (1X final concentration) for the dissociation of brain telencephalon to obtain cells from cortex and ventricular zone. The trypsin does efficient tissue dissociation however, not harsh for the cells when incubated for not more than 20mins.
For establishing primary culture and for the dissociation of cultured cells.
Brain tissues or cultured cells.
Use 1X final concentration for tissue dissociation.
Dissociated single cells from tissues and cultured cells.
Not too harsh for cells when incubated for less than 20 min.
Nothing much, but try to optimise the concentration for your cultured cells.
Highly recommended for primary neuronal cultures from hippocampus and cortex.
