Our lab uses LI-COR imaging system for western blotting. We used Odyssey Blocking Buffer (TBS), which is a ready-to-use formulation in Tris-buffered saline that provides optimal blocking conditions for antibodies requiring TBS-based buffer systems

NC membrane or PVDF membrane
I always dilute the buffer with TBST at the ratio of 1:1.
Blocking works very well with this buffer and only minimal background could be detected.
