Hoefer TE22 instrument is used to transfer the resolved protein samples on an acrylamide gel to a nitrocellulose or PVDF membrane to probe with antibodies. We used Hoefer TE22 for analyzing our animal tissue/ cell line protein samples. After placing gel and PVDF membrane between the blot papers, the blotting cassette is immersed in the transfer buffer and a 40-volt potential difference is applied for 2 hrs for a proper transfer of proteins on to the membrane.
