Blood was collected from the experimental rats in EDTA coated vaccutainers. Blood was centrifuged to separate the plasma from the RBCs. Triglycerides present in the plasma were detected by following the manufacturer’s instructions.

Triglycerides level in the treatment group which were fed with high fat diet exhibited significant increase in TGs level as compared to the control group. Results obtained were reproducible.
