The mouse cells were lysed in guanidine-isothiocyanate–containing lysis buffer and then ethanol was added to the sample. Further, the sample is then applied to the RNeasy MinElute spin column and a high-quality RNA was eluted in water. The eluted samples were quantified and quality checked in NanoDrop.

The cleanup product was assessed in NanoDrop for its quality and quantity. The PCR cleanup product was of high quality as indicated by the 260/280 ratio of 2.2. Downstream use of this product was satisfactory. However, the quantity of RNA was decreased, significantly.
