Excellent Kit to Purify DNA for Downstream Processing

The PCR product which is qualified for the DNA cloning in pCMV expression vectors were purified to remove primers, nucleotides, enzymes, mineral oil, salts, and other impurities. For this, the MinElute PCR purification kit from Qiagen was used as per manufacturer instructions. In brief, the PCR product was mixed with binding buffer and the mixture was applied to the MinElute spin column. After spinning, the nucleic acids adsorbed to the silica membrane which was eluted by the high-salt buffer. The eluted solution was tested for its quality and quantity and used for downstream processing.
