This antibody was used in a set of experiments that were performed to determine the relative proportion of T cell subsets using whole blood samples. This antibody was used to distinguish leukocytes from erythrocytes, platelets, and other circulating non-leukocyte cells in whole blood. This antibody easily resolved the various leukocyte populations from the other constituents in whole blood and allowed clear identification of T cell subsets when multiplexed with other antibodies.

This antibody worked very well in flow cytometry to identify CD45+ leukocytes. When plotted against SSC, granulocyte, monocyte, and lymphocyte populations could be easily resolved from other cells in whole blood.
