Activating NK receptor NKp44 (CD336) is a natural cytotoxicity triggering receptor member of the natural cytotoxicity receptor family. NKp44 is expressed on IL-2 activated NK cells, a subset of γ/δ T cells, and a subset of human ILC3s. NKp44 enhances NK cell mediated cytolysis of virus infected cells and tumor cells, and activates expressing ILCs to secrete cytokines.
