In order to study the effect of LPA on the polarization state of BV2 microglia cells, we used among others the CD86 (M1 marker). Cells were treated with 1µM LPA for different time points and the expression levels of CD86 were analyzed using flow cytometry.

Results Summary

A significant increase in the expression of CD86 was observed after 12 hours treatment. The levels of expression seem to return back to baseline after longer incubation with LPA.
