My research focuses on studying posttranslational modification of proteins. I use expressed protein ligation technique to study the effect of phosphorylation and ubiquitination on tumor suppressor protein PTEN and its related NEDD4 HECT E3 ligases. I am also studying the dynamics of ubiquitin-proteasome system using mass spectrometry based proteomics. This monoclonal anti-FLAG M2 antibody is very sensitive and specific for FLAG peptide. We used for western, flow cytometry, and immunostaining microscopy.

By using this antibody, we can always detect strong bands at the correct size for the proteins tagged with FLAG peptide. As shown in the figure, there was no signal detected in the lane without DOX induction, but after DOX induction, you can detect increased expression of the FLAG-tagged protein, which indicates that this antibody is very specific.
