Product Name:

Corning Tissue Culture-Treated 6-Well Plates

Catalog Number:

Corning 3516

The Corning 6-well tissue culture-treated plates are very user-friendly and can be used for attachment of many different cell lines. I used them with many different human breast cancer cell lines and never had any problems with the product. The plates can also be used for assays such as scratch assays and transwell (for migration and invasion analyses). Highly recommended!

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Attachment of different cell lines (for Western Blotting, Migration/Invasion assays, scratch assays, etc.)

Protocol Overview

Count the breast cancer cell lines (may have to optimize number depending on proliferation rate and size of cells) and seed cells in growth media. Incubate at 37 degrees overnight before treating with drugs of choice. Incubate for different duration prior to harvesting cells for western blotting lysis or to perform scratch assays or transwell assays.

Tips

Make sure to maintain sterility of unused plates by keeping lids on and wrapped for later usage.

The Bottom Line

Use the Corning tissue culture-treated plates for ease in preparing attached cells for various assays. Do not use the plates for suspended cells as some cells may attach to the bottom unless the bottoms are coated. Very easy to use!
