Very often, we run into the situation when the columns in the mini-prep or PCR cleanup kit run out, but there is still a lot of buffer left. Instead of buying the whole kit, we buy the columns and use up the rest of buffer. This SpinSmart column is a choice. In my hands, they have worked totally fine just like the columns in the original kit for mini-prep, PCR cleanup, and gel purification. It saves money.
