CD10 is a useful marker in the classification of pre B ALL. It is positive in 89% of cases. Our work on the identification of novel targets for B-ALL treatment require the accurate classification of the cases prior to testing new therapies. Using this anti-CD10 antibody allows us part of that classification process. We use it because it gives a good, bright signal and does not require too much optimization. We use it with CD19 because pre B ALL cells characteristically co-express CD10 and CD19.

The results shown in the figure are typical. CD10 expression on mononuclear cells is unmistakable. It shows a clear separation and a nice ~50:50 positivity. Even when plotted against CD19, the separation is good and allows for clear classification of pre B-ALL cases.
