Excellent piece of machinery. This was an upgrade in our lab from the usual heating-only thermoshakers. It both heats and cools very quickly and has a timer function which comes in handy when you have an ultra long incubation and don't want to forget to turn the shaker off. Would highly recommend.
Biochemistry, Cloning and Transformation
This was mainly used for transformations. 1.5mL tubes containing BL21 E. coli and a plasmid were placed in the shaker for heatshock for one minute, not shaking.
Take note of the timer. If it passes the selected time, the temperature drops extremely fast and it could mess up your experiment.
