Company:

Sony

Product Name:

SH800S Cell Sorter

Catalog Number:

SH800S

The Sony SH800s is one of the first fully automated sorting devices of the flowcytometry world. This means that the machine only requires a couple steps to be fully operational. The SH800s has 4 lasers (405nm, 488nm, 561nm and 638nm) and is capable of measuring up to 6 parameters (excl. FSC and BSC). The lasers are co-linear which might lead to some spill-over when combining certain fluorophores. The software is quick and easy and really intuitive.

Experimental Design and Results Summary

Application

Flow Cytometry

Protocol Overview

Regular preparation as any flowcytometry equipment. Although a .45um filter is advisable.

Tips

Chip sizes from 70um, 100um and 130um in size are a bit different compared to regular nozzle sizes. I.E a 70um nozzle or a 70um chip are not 100% comparable.

Features Summary

Replaceable plate holder at an angle for optimal sorting positioning.
