This was used for a NAD reduction assay to measure activity or various inhibitors shown to inhibit mammalian 1a2. This worked very poorly with low activity in the biochemical assay.

Product was used at 1:100 with NAD+, MTT and propanal to assess reduction of NAD and corresponding oxidation of propanal. Activity was very low even at 2 hours.
Use at a higher concentration than 1:100
Results showed that while this product could oxidize propanal, it performed much more slowly than other reagents or the published literature indicate.
