Western blots have been one of the most common techniques for quantifying protein expression in a biological sample. Although most WB procedures take 1–2 days to perform, nowadays companies provide reagents that can speed up the process and provide more consistent results. Here, I utilized the BOLT 4-12% Bis-Tris Plus 17-well pre-cast gels for running a WB. The gels are excellent and can run up to 16 samples.

These gels come 10 in a box and each gel contains 17 wells. This gel is utilized with the BOLT running apparatus and buffer system.
Remove the comb and white tape at the bottom of the gel BEFORE running.
The gel can be run at high voltages that can minimize running times. Resolution of bands was good!
