I am interested in studying the molecular mechanism of hedgehog signal transduction in vertebrate cells. I have performed a CRISPR/Cas9 genetic screen to uncover new regulators of hedgehog signaling pathway. One of the negative regulators identified in my screens was MGRN1 (RNF156). In this experiment, I had knocked out MGRN1 in NIH-3T3 cells using lentiCRISPR v2 strategy. The result is a pooled knockout cell line for MGRN1. MGRN1 antibody from Proteintech picked up a band at ~70 kDa. The predicted size is 59 kDa.

Results Summary

RNF156 antibody from Proteintech picks up a band at ~70 kDa. The band is specific for RNF156 (MGRN1) because the band intensity is reduced in CRISPR knockout lines.
